Whats next for our DXP, here is a list of the features we are working towards and the progress we have made so far.

Upcoming Features Q2 2025

(Note: Planned features are currently in development and are not guaranteed to release in the designated quarter.)

    External Link Sharing

    Ability to create links to assets in the repository to share with external entities.  Driven by the Folders view feature and secured via password and expiration.

    Oracle Eloqua Integration

    Create Emails and Landing Pages with the CM Box Site Builder and directly upload them to Oracle Eloqua for use in marketing campaigns.  Allows for better management and reuse of content and assets.

    Generative AI and MCP Integration

    MCP Server support and direct integration with the fully featured Fishbowl GenAI Middleware to provide semantic search, chat against assets, and document generation.

      Oracle Content Management Statement of Direction

      Oracle has been evaluating its strategic direction and has determined that we will no longer be providing Oracle Content Management Cloud Services, and are therefore announcing the end of life of our Oracle Content Management Cloud Services offerings.

      0.2 Alpha DAM

      Queue - Jobs

      Enable messaging to support multiple nodes and clustered environments for content conversions to handle mass ingestion of Petabytes of data.

      Tasks to be performed via a queue system with multi-threaded workers, such as indexing, identifying, generating preview media and moving files. With a Job Manager interface for tracking progress, pausing and restarting jobs.

      Rendition Engine - Preview generation

      Auto generate lower resolution stand-ins for Image, PDF and media formats to view within the browser and expose multiple formats for headless consumption

      View images, videos and documents in a full screen modal with nested inspector and context switcher.

      Drag & Drop

      Contribute documents quickly to a repository and enable management mapping of metadata support

      Asset Multiview

      Toggle display of assets between table, folder and card layouts

      Video thumbstrips

      Generate and display thumbstrips for videos, with a scrubber to preview the video.

      Advanced media analysis

      Transcribe audio, identify faces, video scenes and more.

      OCM Repository Migration Enhancements

      Flexible Deployment

      Kubernetes and Terraform based deployments for Oracle Cloud and Microsoft Azure.

      Webhooks

      Outgoing webhooks for all asset lifecycle events (create, update, delete, publish) configurable per repository and asset type.

      Rich Text Editor Plugins

      Built in plugins to insert images and links from the repository directly into a rich text field.  

      Embeddable UI

      Embed the CMBox interface in another site or application with supported authentication.

      User Interface Enhancements

      Item History, Conditional Field Display, Item References and Dependencies.

      Additional Conversions

      Microsoft Word to HTML conversion to support template based document contribution.

      Enhanced Video conversion support to generate optimized renditions and storyboards.

      Q4 2024

      1.0 Full Release

      Large File Support

      Chunked and resumable uploads for large files to the repository.

      Production Site Renderer and SDK

      Full release of AstroJS based site rendered and Sites SDK.  Support enhanced navigation structure, article detail pages, dynamic client side pages.

      OCM Site Migration Support

      Process and tooling to migrate an oracle Content Mangement site structure, components, and assets to CM Box.

      Q1 2025

      1.1 Enhancements

      Update Packages

      Create a package of updates for assets and sites that acts as a sandbox for the contributor to make updates in isolation.  Merge these packages back into the main repository and base site.

      CI/CD Integration and Additional Webhooks

      Supported integrations with Gitlab CI and Azure DevOps for site build and publish pipelines.

      Additional webhooks events for Site Publish and Package Merge to support pippeline based deployments as well as customizable webhook payloads and headers.
